This is me in the 3rd grade. I loved Dorothy Hamil. Gawd, I loved her hair style. A few months prior to our school pictures, I chipped my adult front tooth in half by face planting in the street. I tripped over my own feet and did not watch where I was going. (I walked around with half a tooth for almost 2 years.) Idolizing my favorite athletes and super stars while walking with the vulnerablity and humility of chipped tooth, is so much apart of my history. I was just learning to navigate the world in 3rd grade. Some of my takeaways from this time: Humiliation builds my character; Vulnerablity opens my heart; Transparency yields my authenticity; and Watch where I am going.😊 If I had not gone through these experiences in the 3rd grade, I would not be where I am now. I love who I am today and grateful for all of the good bad and the ugly experiences of my past. Without those experiences, I would not be who I am. So, if you find yourself in the beginning of the year self analysis and assessment, go easy on yourself. Embrace it all. Keep Moving.
